Youth of Yesterday
Here's to the youth of yesterday
They're still around, just hid away
The world tends to put them up on a shelf
As if they are aliens of their former self
They think they are ugly, slow, and weak
As if they have somehow passed their peak
But if you would only take time to visit them now
You won't be too late to see the treasure they endow
They know what you are going through
They have good advice to help you
For with their experience, knowledge, and sense
They also have understanding and patience
We all grow older and realize our current life is a temporary strife
But by accepting Jesus as Savior, we have an eternal permanent life!
The true fountain of youth is not looks, speed, strength, or physical
The true fountain of youth is trusting in a new life in the spiritual
So, here's to the youth of yesterday
They're still around, just hid away
Let's learn from them about joy and sorrow
For we are the "youth of yesterday" for tomorrow

More Beautiful
What is more beautiful than green grass and a blue sky?
Real beauty, just like real truth, cannot be a lie
Look at God's wonderful creations and you will realize
No camera can capture all the beauty that is before your eyes
The colors in a sunset give an indescribable thrill
I marvel at a sunbeam that only shines on a far hill
Have you really studied a bird in flight?
Then told yourself, what an amazing sight
Look at everything an elephant does with his trunk
And remember that God does not make any junk
And of all the creations, God made us in his own image
He loves us so much, he made a remarkable pledge
He promises that even after death, we can live!
For if we accept him as Savior, he will forgive
The wonders of creation praise his name
So why shouldn't we all do the same
What is more beautiful than green grass and a blue sky?
The One who created us from above that sky, way up high
Let us worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
For what is more beautiful than the promise of God's words!
