Play That Funky Drum Rio!
The Real Rio Page! - That's right! This is the original and real Rio Page! So, accept no imitations. If there are any fake Rio
pages out there, ignore them. This is where you can learn new things about Rio! You may even learn things that you
don't want to learn about Rio. But, like a car wreck, you'll look anyway?
Rio Blue can be found at various Renaissance Festivals like the Great Lakes Medieval Faire, the Michigan
Renaissance Festival, and the Texas Renaissance Festival. He is also a drummer for musician Owain Phyfe. Rio plays drums
on Owain Phyfe's Poets Bards CD. If you buy a CD, Rio could be playing in your bedroom tonight! Uh, playing his drums, of
course! You can find out more about Owain Phyfe at the following link:

Rio Blue (Drums & Percussion), Owain Phyfe (Vocals & Chitarra Battente),
and Judy Plester (Violin) at the 99 Michigan Renaissance Festival.
Rio plays drums, in the background, at various chess matches and jousts at Renaissance Festivals. His drums
add a definite "dramatic" effect! Some may say that Rio is "full of it"? But he is actually full of life. He has an infectious love
for life and people along with a warm sense of humor.
The Great Lakes Medieval Faire brochure described Rio as follows:
"Rio - MASTER drummer and MASTER ENTERTAINER, you will enjoy the performance of
Rio... NO MATTER what guise he is in!"
So do you want to know more about Rio?
He may be the one disguised as that carrot-destroying giant
known as Blassom. Some fans discovered that he wears glasses. So, he may not see you if you're not in the front row! Other
fans have witnessed that he knows magic and slight-of-hand tricks! He also has a dancing puppet that is believed to be
named "Woody". Rio, along with David Ballard of Moxie Puppets, created the maze at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire.

You may not always see Rio right away. He is sometimes in disguise or hidden in the background! So, if you
go to the Where's Rio Now section, you can try to spot him in the pictures. Rumor has it that if Rio shaved off his mustache and wore
a red and white striped outfit, he may look just like Waldo from the "Where's Waldo Now" book!

Naturally, Rio has many fans. In fact, when it is really hot, he needs more than one fan!
